Range of Approaches (Breadth) — 12 digital images | 33.3% of portfolio score
Demonstrates understanding of drawing issues through a variety of works.
Must not include images of the work included in the Sustained Investigation section.
The works submitted for evaluation may have been produced in art classes or on students' own time and may cover a period of time longer than a single school year. Any work that makes use of photographs, published images, or other artists' work must show substantial and significant development beyond duplication. This is demonstrated through manipulation of the formal qualities, design, or concept of the source. Students' personal, unique artistic vision should be clearly evident.
Breadth Portfolio Presentations
In December (check the calendar for dates), students will be giving a presentation of their Breadth Portfolio to the class. This presentation should end with an introduction of your Concentration idea. The presentation can be a PowerPoint or an I-Movie--you can also get creative and come up with a new vision for presenting (just approve it with Mrs. Mort first). Please include in your presentation an assessment of the work presented (i.e. challenges, successes, influences, ideas, and artmaking processes). Your semester grade will be based off of this presentation--so yeah, it's a big deal:).
